The
Fife Costal Path
The Fife Costal Path is a real walk on the wild side. The first walk of
its kind in Scotland, when complete will extend 78 miles starting at the
world famous Forth Bridges and finishing beyond the Tay Bridge. Currently
the Path stretches from North Queensferry in the west, to Crail in the
east. Work is ongoing on the sections between Crail and Tay Bridge. Deep Sea World
A visit to Deep Sea World will always make for an unforgettable day out.
Our vast underwater safari is home to thousands of weird and wonderful
creatures. You can walk along the bottom of ocean as sharks glide only
inches above your head, in the world's longest underwater viewing tunnel.
Or discover what lurks in the murky waters of the Amazon River and Lake
Malawi. Maybe you even think you're brave enough to try out a bit of shark
diving. Edinburgh international Festival

The 2005 Edinburgh Military Tattoo celebrates over 50 years of music and

Castle
Castle Rock is where Edinburgh began. The site was inhabited
- and probably fortified after a fashion - in prehistoric times. We know
that when Lothian became a part of Scotland, King Malcolm III lived here
with Queen, Margaret, who died in 1093 and was later canonised. Her son,
King David I, built a tiny and charming chapel to her memory. It remains
to this day, the oldest surviving structure on Castle Rock Edinburgh Fringe
Whilst still remaining
true to its founding principle of open-access for all performers, the Fringe
has come a long way since its organisational beginnings in a disused pub
with a leaky roof just off the Royal Mile.
We now sell over 1.25 million tickets worth more than £9m, 44% of which are
sold on-line in real-time, and employ a year-round full-time staff of 10 which
increases to around 120 in August. Scottish Rugby Union

Forth Rail and Road Bridges
Spanning the Forth Estuary a few miles North of Edinburgh are the Forth road
and rail Bridges. Surely one of the most distinctive bridges in the world,
the Forth rail bridge remains a masterpiece of engineering, what it lacks in
subtlety it makes up for in primeval impact. The slender, graceful lines of
the more modern road bridge are perhaps not as unique a design (although record
breaking in its day), but they certainly provide an interesting counterpoint
to the brutal outline of the rail bridge. |
